The First Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. Slobodan Radeka, attended the briefing organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State Qatar, dedicated to the holding of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, in 2022.. The briefing was led by Foreign Ministry spokeswoman H. E. Ambassador Lolwah Al-Khater.It was pointed out that Qatar has great expectations from the World Cup, that a lot of assets and energy were invested in order to best present the country and host national teams, officials and fans. Qatar expects the World Cup to be held normally and within the scheduled time, in the presence of spectators, i.e. that the effects of the Kovid-19 pandemic will hopefully subside by then.

Health and labor officials specifically spoke about the systemic protection measures that Qatar is implementing in the treatment of more than a million workers engaged in various construction and infrastructure projects in the country, many of which are related to facilities that are in the function of the World Cup.
