Today, H. E. Ambassador Pozderac received the selector of the Qatari national basketball team, Mr. Miodrag Perišić, at the Embassy. The meeting was also attended by the doctor of sports medicine at the "Aspetar" hospital, Dr. Jovan Zlatković, as well as the First Counselor of the Embassy, ​​Mr. Slobodan Radeka.
Opinions were exchanged on the possibilities of sports cooperation between Serbia and Qatar, and especially on the modalities of promoting cooperation between basketball federations and national teams of the two countries. In that context, the Ambassador presented the idea of ​​organizing visits of Serbian basketball experts to Qatar and lectures for students of basketball schools, as well as workshops, where knowledge would be practically transferred. He stated that meetings and mutual communication of various categories of national selections should be encouraged, as soon as the current epidemiological conditions allow.
It was estimated that Qatar could be an interesting destination for Serbia and our basketball experts in terms of transferring experiences, know-how, etc.
