The First Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. Slobodan Radeka, met today at the Embassy with Mrs. Aynabat Atayeva, the Director of the United Nations Office for Combating Terrorism in Doha (UNOCT Programme Office in Doha).
During the conversation, Mrs. Ajnabat Atayeva presented the basic principles and goals of the UNOCT office in Doha, informing that Qatar is one of the largest contributors to this UN agency on a global level and that in this way Qatar one more time proves its commitment to the fight against terrorism of all forms.
In the coming period, the Office will organize events and gatherings in Doha and elsewhere, with the aim of promoting a behavioral approach in the fight against terrorism, with a special emphasis on raising awareness of the vulnerability of certain groups.
From our side, it was pointed out that the Republic of Serbia is also committed to the fight against terrorism of all kinds and that it is always ready to make the maximum contribution in this area, within the limits of its possibilities and potentials.
