The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, received the credentials of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar, Faris Roumi Al Nuaimi today, wishing him a pleasant stay and successful work in our country.

On this occasion, Ambassador Al Nuaimi conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Al Thani. Returning the greetings, President Vučić thanked the Emir of Qatar for the generous donation of medical equipment at the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic.

President Vučić expressed hope that the Qatari representatives would participate in the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the first conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Belgrade, which would enable a meeting of officials of the two countries with the aim of strengthening political dialogue and comprehensive cooperation.

It was stated at the meeting that the goal of the two countries is to improve cooperation in all areas, because there are good experiences, but that cooperation is still modest, with many untapped opportunities. The two interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to establish more frequent and closer contacts between business people.
