At our initiative, Ambassador Mr. Jasminko Pozderac and DCM Mr. Slobodan Radeka visited the renowned company "Al Jaber Engineering", which primarily deals with construction and capital infrastructure. It also participated in the construction of the "Al Thumama" stadium and other large infrastructure and important housing projects.The ambassador assessed that the political relations between Serbia and Qatar are very good, but that there is certainly room for further progress and development, primarily in the sphere of economy and energy, in which areas additional efforts should be made from both sides. In that context, our visit to "Al Jaber Enginering" is in order to encourage and give an incentive to this company, which has previously expressed interest in cooperation with Serbia, to achieve that cooperation. We offered all the assistance of the Embassy within the scope of objective possibilities and capacities. We added that there is all the necessary legal and contractual basis between Qatar and Serbia for the development and strengthening of relations, which is extremely important.

Distinguished Mr. Osama Hadid and Mr. Mahmoud Noureldin, CEO and Business Director of the company, listened carefully to our arguments and stated that they would consider it favorably, as much as possible. Director General Mr. Osama Hadid stressed that in order to develop and strengthen relations in the field of economy and infrastructure, as in the case of Serbia and Qatar, as well as any other countries, it is opportune to further develop political dialogue at the highest level. That is the most important step and precondition. They are willing to examine the possibilities for establishing cooperation and possible joint business projects, having in mind the reputation of our construction companies, which will be discussed at the next meetings. It was agreed to continue contacts.
The meeting took place in a warm and very constructive atmosphere.
