The First Counselor of the Embassy, Mr. ​​Slobodan Radeka, participated today in the first in a series of meetings on the occasion of the beginning of preparations for the organization of the World Cup in football, which will be held in Doha, in November 2022. The meeting was organized online by Qatar's Supreme Committee for Organization and Heritage, a body specializing in the World Cup. Numerous representatives of foreign embassies in Doha took part.

The countries that will qualify for the World Cup are expected to display their flags in a solemn ceremony on the magnificent "Cornish" promenade in Doha in November, which will be displayed there until the championship is held.

If Serbia defeats Portugal and qualifies for the World Cup, the Embassy will proudly display the state flag of the Republic of Serbia on the "Cornish", it has been confirmed by us.
