The First Counselor of the Embassy, ​​Slobodan Radeka, participated today in a regular online preparatory meeting in the context of the World Cup, which is being held in November this year. The Serbian national football team is also participating in the World Cup.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, as the supreme body of the State of Qatar in charge of coordinating all activities related to FIFA 2022 Qatar, also organized this meeting. The dynamics of regular meetings is once a month, with the provision that they are expected to intensify as the championship approaches.

The topic of today's meeting was the transport of guests and fans during the World Cup. Qatar is expected to be visited by several million fans.

It was emphasized that Qatar has invested large funds and energy and that the subway, city buses and numerous taxi vehicles will be in the function of transport. For the first time, spectators will be able to watch more matches in one day, as all 8 new stadiums where they will play matches are relatively close to each other.

"Doha Port" will aslo be in service for the cruise ships and it is forseen that the "Doha International Airport" will also be operational during the World Cup, in addition to "Hamad" Airport, that has capacity of 53 milion passengers in a year.
