In the presence of a large number of dignitaries from the diplomatic corps and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, as well as the director of the Museum of Islamic Arts, Salem Al Aswad, a large Serbian national flag was ceremoniously raised in the "Mia" park, as well as the flags of the countries whose representatives participate in the World Cup in football. Chargé d'affaires Slobodan Radeka took part in the solemn ceremony in front of the Embassy. On this occasion, a billboard was placed in the park, which contains information about the Republic of Serbia. A five-minute promotional film about the Republic of Serbia was also shown.
The flag and billboard will remain in the "Mia" park until the end of the FIFA World Cup on December 18, and promotional films about countries participating in the FIFA World Cup will be shown, including a promotional film about Serbia. For this purpose, large video beams have been installed in several places in the "Mia" park.
It is expected that during the World Cup "Mia" park will be visited by tens of thousands of visitors from all over the world, as well as from Qatar itself, who will be able to get acquainted with the beauties and peculiarities of the Republic of Serbia through the aforementioned settings.
