Chargé d'affaires Mr. Slobodan Radeka visited the Secretariat of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries-GECF and spoke with Mr. Ali Amirani, head of the office of the Secretary General of this organization, which has 11 members, gas exporting countries and 7 observers.

During the meeting, Mr. Amirani introduced  the objectives of the Forum and the postulates of the work of the Secretariat, and opinions were also exchanged on global energy security and opportunities.

Mr. Ali Amirani pointed out that the Forum is also open to applications for membership from other countries, assessing that the contemporary geopolitical situation determines the growth of the importance of natural gas, as an irreplaceable energy source for the needs of industry and households.
