Chargé d'affaires Slobodan Radeka made a statement to the popular Qatari radio station QBS.
He said that the Serbian football team, which is participating in the World Cup, is expected to arrive in Doha soon. He emphasized that the performance of the popular "Eagles" is eagerly awaited in Serbia.

Radeka congratulated the Qatari authorities on the successfully completed preparations and all work completed on time in the context of the World Cup. He also said that the World Cup is an excellent opportunity for the state representatives of Serbia and Qatar to meet at various levels, primarily in the field of sports and youth, which will contribute to the further development of bilateral relations and ties.

He especially emphasized that the arrival of around three thousand fans from Serbia is expected, as well as that the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the State of Qatar is ready to provide maximum consular protection at all times.
