Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Slobodan Radeka visited today the Secretariat of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries - GECF. He spoke with Mr. Ali Amirani, Head of the Office of the General Secretary of the GECF. Mr. Amirani introduced the main goals and planned meetings of the GECF during 2023, highlighting the growth of the strategic importance of gas as an energy source in the contemporary world economic, energy and political constellations.

Mr. Radeka thanked for the kind reception and was interested in the modalities of possible cooperation between Serbia and this organization, whose headquarters are in Doha.

The meeting was also attended by Minister Counselor to the Embassy Mr. Zdravko Pavićević, as well as Mr. Aleksandar Ermakov,  energy econometrician at the GECF.
