The President of the Republic of Serbia, H. E. Aleksandar Vučić, participated in the UN conference dedicated to the least developed countries, LDC5, which took place from 5-9. March, in Doha. The participation of the President of Serbia at this conference is another indicator of the head of state's strong multilateral activity and our country's commitment to cooperation with all countries in the world, including the least developed ones, many of which represent Serbia's traditional friends.

On the margins of the conference, the President of the Republic Serbia had several very significant bilateral meetings, which speak of the high reputation of the Republic of Serbia in contemporary world political and economic relations.H. E.  President Vučić met with the President of Palestine, H. E. Mahmoud Abbas, the President of Maldives, H. E. Ibrahim Solih, as well as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, H. E. Sheikha Hasina Wazed.

The President of Serbia, H. E. Aleksandar Vučić, met for the first time with the Amir of the State of Qatar, H. H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. The two statesmen mutually noted that there are great potentials and willingness to develop cooperation between Serbia and Qatar in various areas, such as investments, energy, trade, agriculture, food supply security and others. H. E. President Aleksandar Vučić invited H. H. Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to visit Serbia, which His Higness accepted, promising to visit our country soon. Such a visit would have a historical character, as it would represent the first visit to Serbia by a Qatari Amir.
